Balloon Update: The Start of Gaeta V

Late yesterday I took off from Bottenford, Corsica and flew east through the channel of water that connects the continent of Corsica with the continent of Gaeta V--Second Life's seventh of ten continents. This marks my 202nd day of flying towards completing my goal to fly through and chronicle sights from each of Second Life's continents. I'm very happy to get underway on flying through Gaeta V, as it has always been a fairly easy continent to travel through--meaning fewer turbulent sim crossings, less congestion, ban lines, property security issues and the like. I feel it will be a pleasurable trip for the most part, full of decent sight-seeing.

Also in the news is that I'm nearly finished with my book covering my hot air balloon travels through Nautilus. I've just completed the cover (sneak peek above), so if you go to my little garden gallery in Lenora (63, 131, 21) or look in my profile for my link to all my books at www.issuu.com/dahliasweet, where you'll be able to read all my travel adventure books, including the soon to be realeased The Great Balloon Adventure -- Nautilus. I hope you'll like it. It is full of many things you've never seen before including a warning from Amber Linden...I guarantee it!

I spent my week in between finishing Corsica and beginning Gaeta V well by getting some good sleep, eating well, going to the gym, mowing, gardening, and working ahead on other projects, and finally, reconnecting with some of my many friends to wish them a happy new year (as I wish you all too!). So be on the lookout for me in the skies of Gaeta V, on the internet, or at my little garden gallery, Dahlia's Journey, in Lenora!

  1. Good that you have been able to relax beforeyour next trip, Dahlia! Even if the two last pictures look more sweaty, though, hehe... My very first long-distance sailing trip was in Gaeta V and I like its waterways, because of their openness and simpleness. Anyway, hope best for your adventure there and if you see me down there, just give me a call, please!

  2. Hi Timo...thank you for the kind words! Yes, I'm looking forward to flying in Gaeta V. I think it will be more manageable and have fewer "surprises" on the negative side. I'll keep a look out for you below. Fair winds until then! =)
